FOSS Workshop at Seth Jai Parkash Mukand Lal Institute of Engineering and Technology (JMIT)

Finally a 64 bit OS on a 64 bit laptop.
Its working on Compaq R4016US now thanks to Ubuntu forum archives I was able to solve most of my problems including the nagging disk slowness.

I am not sure if Fedora is very usable on a desktop out of the box. It needs a lot of work before it becomes as usable as say Mandrake 9.2 on a desktop. I think its practical to use a distribution thats updated regularly for the servers.
The growth figures are a vote of confidence for Fedora.
